We only process personal data to the extent necessary to run this website and our services. The legal bases are in particular Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent), (b) (contract and pre-contractual inquiries), (c) (legal obligations) and (f) (legitimate interests, such as secure and stable operation).

This website is delivered via Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, time, requested address and browser information in order to deliver the website quickly and securely and to fend off attacks. These technical logs are generally deleted after a few days.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in secure and reliable delivery. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Cloudflare. Transfers to the USA are based on appropriate safeguards under Art. 44 et seq. GDPR.

This website does not set cookies and does not use any analytics, tracking or advertising services.

So the studio ident only plays once per visit, your browser stores the entry “av-ident” in session storage. It contains no personal data, is never sent to us and is deleted when you close the tab. The legal basis is Section 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG.

All fonts are served from our own server. No connection to Google Fonts or other font providers is made.

Our media library embeds videos and music from our YouTube channel. Thumbnails are served from our own server. Only when you actively start a video is it loaded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode via youtube-nocookie.com. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

This transmits, among other things, your IP address, device and browser information and the page you are on to Google; processing in the USA is possible. The legal basis is your consent by starting the video (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, Section 25 (1) TDDDG). Further information can be found in Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

If you email us, we process your details (for example name, email address and the content of your message) to answer your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where an offer or collaboration is concerned, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Please do not send us passwords or particularly sensitive data by email.

We only store personal data for as long as necessary for the respective purpose. We delete completed inquiries without a further business relationship unless statutory retention obligations apply (for example 6 years for business letters, 8 to 10 years for accounting records).

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3)). You can object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21). An informal message to hello@aethervalestudios.com is enough.

You can lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.

No automated decision-making, including profiling under Art. 22 GDPR, takes place.
